- OUR CORFU VILLA -

WHERE WE ARE
Sitting on the hillside overlooking one of the most picturesque villages on the north east coast of Corfu, Agapi is ideally situated. San Stephanos (Agios Stefanos) which is approximately 12 minutes walk or a few minutes drive away has a delightful selection of excellent tavernas, 2 popular bars, a couple of small supermarkets and several boat hire companies. The beaches and Tavernas of Avlaki and Kerasia are close by and Kassiopi the main local Town is about 10 minutes drive. The charming village of Kalami made famous by the Durrell family is just a short drive or boat ride away together with the beaches and tavernas of Kaloura, Agni and Kaminaki. Our latest secret is Glyfa and especially their Garlic Rice and Prawns!
Corfu Town and the airport are about 45 Kms away. Hiring taxis is easy but hiring a car enables you to explore the island. There are wonderful places to visit including the ancient village of Old Perithia where the islanders would hide from maurauding pirates or the tiny monastery on the summit of Mount Pantokrator. You can hire a small boat and explore the coastline or just simply drop anchor in one of the many small coves and enjoy swimming or snorkelling in the crystal clear waters. The majority of beachside tavernas have jetties where you can moor for lunch. There are also several water taxis that can take you to lunch or for a romantic dinner. If you have your Power Boat Licence you can hire a more powerful boat and take a trip to Corfu Town or further afield or even to the mainland of Greece. We can recommend places where you can go water skiing or donutting. There is also a small sailing school at Avlaki where you can learn to sail or hire a wind surfer or paddle board.
The North East Coast is renowned for its scenery and there are many wonderful coastal or hillside paths where you can enjoy the views and wonderful plants and fauna.
